Anti aphid mesh for effective crop protection

One of the problems growers usually face during cultivation is the attack of insects on their crops. These insects attack their crops and cause serious economic loss to the farmer. Insects cause two major kinds of damages to crops. The first is that they cause direct injury to the growing crop, by eating the leaves, fruits, stems and roots of the plant. The second damage is where the insect does not harm the crop itself but transmits a viral, bacterial or fungal infection to the said crop. Aphids, on the other hand, can cause great damage to crops. They can inject toxins into the plant which can cause distorted growth, curled leaves, and reduce the quality of crops at harvest time.

However, insect meshing is very important to avoid insect attacks that can prevent plants from doing well. The mesh prevents insects from having contact with the plant and spreading diseases. This explains why the use of anti aphid mesh is gaining popularity among growers. It is resistant to atmospheric agents and protects crops natural without the use chemicals.
The anti aphid mesh is very tight and it is made to prevent aphid and other insects from the garden. Though aphids are small, it cannot pass through the mesh to attack the plant. The anti aphid mesh offers a very high barrier to aphid but yet it is permeable to water, air, and light. And apart from aphid, it also protects the plant from other insects. The benefits of protecting plants with anti-virus mesh are encouraging to growers. With the use of the mesh, crops tend to do well because they grow in a healthy state. It also helps to improve the quality of the fruits as well as leaves of the plant during harvest.
The anti aphid mesh makes it possible for farmers to grow crops, even in areas where insect infestation is highest. It creates a special micro tunnel to grow different plants like carrots, pumpkins, lettuce, cabbage, etc. The mesh can also be applied to greenhouse environment to protect plants against whitefly, and other insect attacks.
Anti aphid mesh also prevents the spread of diseases which can be very expensive and difficult to control when it occurs. In addition, it also eliminates the idea of using chemicals to control insects which can be very expensive at times. On the other hand, the use of chemicals has other negative side effects. Apart from the fact that they can kill insects attacking crops, they also kill some beneficial organisms living in the soil. The anti aphid mesh permits the cultivation of neater and safer crops. The mesh is also environment-friendly, safe to use and it is also easy to install.
How to Install an anti aphid mesh on a greenhouse
The first thing to do is to get all your tools and materials ready. To install your mesh, the following items are needed:
Anti aphid mesh
Fabric glue
Scissors
Staple gun
Hammer and nails
Large clips
Steps to follow
1. Take the measurement of the greenhouse you intend to install your anti aphid mesh. While you are taking the measurement, add about 7 inches to your final length and width. For instance, if you plan to cover a 12 by 35 inches area, your final measurement after adding the 7 inches will be 19 by 42 inches.
2. Once you have your measurements ready, cut pieces of the mesh to fit them.
3. Put a newspaper on the ground and lay the fabric on it. Apply your fabric glue to the edges of the mesh all the way around it. After applying the glue, give it some time to dry. On the other hand, if you are using metal insect screen, you can skip this part.
4. Now take the anti aphid mesh and place it on the wooden frame. Attach it with hammer and nails or you can use a heavy duty staple gun.
